This is the #1 Hardest Thing for Me to Do

Be still and whattttttttt?!?!?

That is a TALL order for me!! Some of you know that my old Instagram handle was "NeverSitsStill." I don't DO still. And I CERTAINLY don't chill! I'd say "chilling" and "stilling" (yes, I just invented that word) are my 2 biggest weaknesses. (And if you've spent any time with me, you can confirm that!!) We had a guest speaker at church (Herbert Cooper) 2 weeks ago that was talking about how to handle life's storms. And one of his points was "Be Still and Chill." Even though it's been 2 weeks, I keep chewing on this nugget of wisdom. It really has resonated with me, even though I stink at chilling and stilling! However, I am learning to be content while waiting. Waiting for my speaking career to sky rocket, waiting for relationships to grow, waiting for finances to grow, etc... Sometimes, I feel like I'm always waiting! I'm not learning to embrace the waiting season, and be grateful in it. Rather than keep my gaze fixed on where I'm going, and complain it's not happening fast enough, I'm chillin' in the fact that I'm EXACTLY where I am supposed to be at this point in my journey. It's refreshing! When you learn to practice the attitude of gratitude in a season of waiting, it takes the pressure off! No more stress about rushing life forward. Just a sense of total peace and gratitude for where you're at. If you are in a period of waiting, or even if you are in a storm right now --- BE STILL AND CHILL. Have an attitude of gratitude for the season you are in. It's preparing you for the next great chapter in your book of life!!! :) Until next week, chill out!
